Whenever I try to run a game, a message comes up that says "DirectInput Failed to Initialize" followed by "OLDDIRECTINPUT(whatever the number is)"

What does this mean? This may sound like a dumb question, but I am VERY new at this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need to install a more recent version of directX. get it here
