After finding DMC3 broken under the current beta(s) of 0.9 (blame Saqib), I went off to try it out on 0.8.1.

Now the only reason I am posting this here, is because since 0.8.1 there have been various beta's of GSdx, and the current GSdx makes DMC3 look utterly sexy. Don't worry it's only IPU mucking around in 0.9 and will be fixed shortly (I hope ), but here's some progress shots from GSdx

The gameplay video I am going to split up in vdub, as it's over 600MB in xvid, so going to make a few small ones showing off a boss fight, or some stunningly sexy move I pulled off.

Will PS2 ever be as good as PS1 emulation, hell yes, just wait awhile

Just started playing Chapter 4 (see top selection of shots), also mucking around with the 'cheat' that unlocks every piece of artwork, difficulty and costume (see bottom selection of shots).

This game will run around 15-20 FPS when I am not recording video, and outputting log information. It will run at over 25 FPS with Pixel Shader 1.4 (my GeForce FX 5950u hates PS2.0 slightly), but the characters 'glow'

In chapter 5 now, the end boss of chapter for Gigapede took 20 minutes to kill, now I am going to go against Agni and Rudra....this could be an epic slow motion battle, probably make it slower by recording it, but the weapons are worth it ...

Going to be a tricky battle as I don't have enough red orbs to get Air Hike for my sword, and at this speed I'll be damned if I am going to go back to chapter one to collect some!!!

I refuse to fight Nevan under emulation, she's an annoying battle as it is oO

Dont tell me this game got Indian Gods as enemies.
Agni = God of fire.
Rudra= God of storm and wind.

Guess what ? There are some guys here in India who may start protesting against the game and may ask for a ban. LOL.

Interestingly enough they use those attacks to If you kill one, and not the other quickly afterwards the remaining headless monster will combine the two swords and unleash wind+fire attacks in the form of fireblasts, fire tornados etc...

You often find this with games, take FF for instance that refers to more mythology than I care to meantion, and this game uses the Riddle of the Sphinx as one of it's puzzles

The Riddle of the Sphinx... isn't that what Oedipus apparantly solved to be made king (in the play)?

I thought the Sphinx killed anyone that couldn't answer its riddle? I don't know if it was Oedipus or not, and I don't remember what he was after, but didn't the same guy kill his own father? Wasn't he also the one that tried to get his wife back from Hades? I could be completely wrong. Mythology class was a long time ago .
