kingking, what you are saying has no sense. Are you sure your mobo and your 3d card handle AGP 4X ? If you are sure, then it isn't a driver option, it must be a bios option and otherwise there are many third party prog that can enable it if it is not enabled by default.

I made some test with the new 21.81 drivers with my Geforce DDR :
In 3DMark2001, a 5% increase in hardware T&L and a 5% increase in software T&L (compared with 12.41 drivers but weren't the fastest drivers)

In 3DMark2000, a 5% increase in hardware T&L and a 15% increase in software T&L (compared with 12.41 drivers)
The results in 3DMark2000 are very interesting, it's the first time that some drivers after 6.XX and 7.XX have speed increase (hard T&L is equal to results with the best 7.XX drivers, and soft T&L is the best never seen).

So, in conclusion, some results are equal to results already seen with other drivers, but there is a real increase of software T&L in 3DMark2000,so PC games which were programmed for a version prior to DirectX8 should benefit of this increase (it wasn't expected).

Now, a precision : I don't want to see somebody saying that ePSXe is faster with these drivers. Indeed, emu speed is CPU dependant, and gfx quality is GPU dependant.

Unless of course their bottle-neck was their video card and not their cpu, then they just may see an improvement in epsxe. I haven't seen anyone reporting problems with enabling 4x agp so are you sure your board can support and has enabled 4x?

I think that UT works better with D3D. Actually, they said that Glide is the best API for UT, but, as many people don't have a voodoo(and 3dfx is dead), D3D is the second choice.

That's strange... I've heard that UT's creators concentrated more on the development of the Glide and D3D engine. Anyway, if OpenGL works better for you, then use it.

Majority of users from posts and hardware sites seem to be getting from paltry to significant performance boosts. Unfortunately on my system at least fsaa causes glitching in ff8 which I'm playing right now, so I had to downgrade back to the 14.70s. I hope they fix this in their next release, and fix anistropic filtering as well, which I believe has been broken.

Strange, for me it's the opposite. OGL FSAA works, but D3D won't work, mind you I speak only for ePSXe. It appears to work for PC games using the D3D API, but ePSXe, nothing, very strange.

now its working for me, just uninstall the last detonator version, whit the Detonator-Destroyer, and then install the new version.

check this page for the explained and file.
