As a continuation of this old thread and since compatibility has considerably changed since...
The format to use would be around the following:

Name of the game (with region):

Desmume version tested:
Operating system:

Playability: (Fully playable, Ingame, Menus, Nothing). Fully playable would infer that the game can be/has been fully played from the start to the end credits.
Sound: (if smooth, clear, crackled, skips, no sound...)
Speed: (fullspeed, slow, or specific framerate like 35 FPS, and if frameskipping is used and which value).

Settings used (can be skipped if the default settings were not modified):
Notes: add notes or extra info if any

(hardware specs on which it was tested)
Processor:
Graphic card:
RAM:

screenshots should be uploaded as attachments.

New Super Mario Bros. european

Version: 0.9.5 SSE2, SVN 0.9.6 SSE2; Windows 7

Playability: fully playable (except wifi games of course)
Sound: perfect, except that the surround effect is missing.
Speed: acceptable, but a bit slow on world maps

Settings: using SoftRasterizer (renders transprency effects more accurately than anything else), no external firmware/BIOS

Processor: Core 2 Duo E8500 @ stock
I don't think that graphic card and RAM are important in the case of DeSmuME, especially Graphic card if using the SoftRasterizer. Maybe it is if using the OpenGL renderer.

Here are some screenshots took with SVN:
There's a small piece of code in SVN which puts screenshots like that in the clipboard when you hit Printscreen, so that you can paste them in MSPaint or something...

Don't care about the live counter/score being the max. That's since I once played around with RAM Watch and mem viewer/editor...

Screenshots 6 and 7 show the difference between SoftRasterizer and OpenGL when it comes to transparency effects in this game.

Sonic Rush Adventure (U)
Ver 0.9.5 x86
Windows XP Pro

Playability: Game is playable 100%.

Sound: The music is slightly off at random. Occasionally it will slow down a little or speed up. But it's never too far off, and there is never tearing or popping. The sound effects are a-ok though.

Speed: Maintained 100% FPS until boss battles (Suffers 5% dip)

Settings - No modified settings, but I found it to have a better image on the Rasterizer than OGL.

Notes - As a comparison, No$ handles the music a bit better for the adventure world and the individual maps, but worse for boss battles. Also on no$ when fighting a boss the FPS will drop dramatically making boss battles long and frustrating, and as far as that graphics go, Desmume renders the image more clearly with less FPS drops and no garbage (Scanlines through characters, odd coloring, all glitches in No$)

Playability: Game is playable 100%.

Sound: Music is slightly off, sound effects are fine.

Speed: Maintained 90% FPS constantly.

Settings - Using Rasterizer. Slightly worse image but same FPS with OGL.

Notes - Sound issue may be hardware related. Undetermined.

Speed: Maintained 50%-100% constantly.

Settings - Using Rasterizer. OpenGL achieved same.

Playability: Game is 2% playable.

Sound: Music is way off and poppy/skippy, sound effects are decent.

Speed: Maintained 50-80%.

Settings - Using Rasterizer.
Rotation set to 270. (Screens are displayed sideways)

Notes - You can make it through the menu into the game, and you can play the part where you fight Ryu if you don't mind standing still and he comes into range. But once you make it to the actual game movement does not respond as shown in below screenshots. Right click throws knives and left click turns the character but she will not move. Tried every setting available unless someone has a trick thats about as far as you'll get.
