As a continuation of this old thread and since compatibility has considerably changed since...
The format to use would be around the following:
Name of the game (with region):
Desmume version tested:
Operating system:
Playability: (Fully playable, Ingame, Menus, Nothing). Fully playable would infer that the game can be/has been fully played from the start to the end credits.
Sound: (if smooth, clear, crackled, skips, no sound...)
Speed: (fullspeed, slow, or specific framerate like 35 FPS, and if frameskipping is used and which value).
Settings used (can be skipped if the default settings were not modified):
Notes: add notes or extra info if any
(hardware specs on which it was tested)
Processor:
Graphic card:
RAM:
screenshots should be uploaded as attachments.
