Well, I'm hosting a lan party next week, and since I easily have the most powerful rig, I want to host the games. One of the games we play is Day of Defeat, but I have a crashing problem with it. In D3D or OpenGL, when I shoot a gun, it crashes, so I have to run in software. Their aint no need for software mode on a rig this powerful. I know the steam version of DOD doesnt have this problem, but I cant download it (limited dialup internet). So does anyone know a fix for this? My friend suggested older drivers, but then I'd prolly need to downgrade directx, reinstall windows, and finally come to the realization that I no longer use a Ti 4200 so I cant go that far back in the versions (pre DX9). Any suggestions are welcome.
