I am in disc 2 of FF8, and when I do just about ANYTHING, the graphics screw up and become a buch of incoherent polygons. This problem didn't occur until just now, and has even affected my older save state files.

here is a screenshot:

Does it work fine if you don't use the savestate? Have you tried switching to P.E.Op.S. software plugin? Are you running the game from the CD or from an ISO?

rusty404, firstly...have you tried n_w95482 suggested? i.e using software? I noticed you're using an SiS video card (onboard I assume).

1.)Are the drivers for your SiS Display Adaptor up-to-date?
2.)Have you tried using Pete's OpenGL v1.75 plugin? I had much more luck with it than D3D.

Try loading from your savestate and loading from the memory card.
