which one gives better graphic?

i've tested with both(using pete's D3D and Pete's OpenGL) and both gives great graphic(i've tested on SFEX + A), but i can't realy tell the differnt . also, under Texture option: i don't know why i could use R8G8.... in OpenGL but cannot in D3D.

Well pete s OGL seems to have much more effects emulated than the D3D version:

The blending is prefectly emulated w/ the OGL plugin.
But just tell which video card u are using.

so which one should i use?
When i switch to OGL, the games drop fps like almost hal of what D3d fps. so it's either OGL can't handle the settings i put(everything to max except Blending(turn off, i don't thnk that does anything), or that the game graphic have increase and that my sys. can't handle them. sys. at quote

D3D works better, if u have any card such as TNT2 which supports opGL then use OPGL.

OGL is slow here on my v3 too
d3d is faster, but you are using a v3, so go for lewpyGPU 99% of the time.

From a technical point of view, they are pretty much the same, and pretty much different ...
They are the same because they both use the 3D harware basically the same way (the videocard is still the same).
And they are different because they use a different philosophy, OGL is an "automata" and DX is a "nodebag".

From a hardware point of view it depends of the videocard:
- 3DFX are Glide based but can run DX and OGL, although OGL Layer isn't complete on most drivers, while DX are.
- nVidia are OGL based but can run DX very well, except little problems (nVidia is SGI, SGI is OGL, and so on ...)
- for other manufactuerers i can't tell, because i never have any of their cards, i think most of them run best in DX beacause of MS but ... you'll have to find out by yourself.

From PSX Emulation point of view, it depends of the gpuPlugin.
The best way to know which is better is to ask the developper itself, don't you think ?
But remember, you hardware capabilities comes first
