Since we about to get a taste of psx net play, I was wondering does anyone know of a list of all psx games that support link up. Doom and the first wipeout are a couple that come to mind.

This was one of the few mistakes Sony made with the psx 1. At first developers were encouraged to enable link up in their games but in the early years of psx, there wasn't much of a market for someone who could afford 2 systems, 2 games, 2 tv's. However in the later years of the psx this would have been much more practical. The systems were cheap, you could easily rent a 2nd copy from your video store, and more people with systems gave more opportunites to for this to happen.

Ah, I'd love some twisted metal 2, or wipeout xl with this.

Question: What was the most recent game that had this ability?

hi!

Maybe i understand your question wrong, but since you use "CyberPad" in the topic of the post i think this topic is related to the CyberPad Plugin.

I think, that you think that the CyberPad Plugin simulate the parallel-port of the psx to play games with 2 psx's and 2 tv's like Destruction Derby allow that. But that's not the correct.
CyberPad simulate the second controller, that means it get the data for the second controller over the internet/lan.
That means CyberPad allow netplay in ALL psx games ...
in 2-player-multiplayer-games both players can play the game online (there are many games which support that : nearly all beat'em'ups (like Tekken 1-3), the most car racing games (Gran Turismo 1-2, Colin McRae Rally, Driver 2), Sport games (Tennis, Soccer) and many more) and in one-player-games, one player can watch how the other player plays (for example if you have a game where you everytime loose at the same position in the game, a friend of you tell you that's easy to win there ... with the CyberPad plugin he can show you online how to win at this position, because you see on your monitor the same as he see on his.)

Ok, i think it should be clear now ;)
