Nope... that's just the nature of the game. Some games (I know GT2 does this) use a simplified model of a car when it's at a certain distance from you. Now, on a PSX played on the TV monitor this is not noticeable (since everything's blurred anyways). But now on a monitor with hi-resolution, it's VERY noticeable. The PSX were programmed with 320x240 on the TV set in mind. And all that filtering/anti-aliasing methods can only go so far in improving the image quality.
