Polygons and textures far from the camera seem to get a crumpled, distorted look to them the farther out they are. This is most noticable in racing games like GT or R4. I've got my resolution set to 1024x768x32 but the game still looks low res from all the crumpling, even with anti-aliasing on. Is there any way to fix this?

My Settings:
AMD Athlon XP 1600+
SiS 735 (ECS K7S5A) Mainboard w/latest SiS and AGP drivers
256MB of PC2100 DDR
GeForce2 GTS/Pro 32MB w/Detonator 21.83 drivers
SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer w/latest Creative drivers
Adaptoid w/N64 joypad and latest drivers
Windows 98 Second Edition w/latest Windows Updates
DirectX 8.1

ePSXe 1.40
Pete's OpenGL 1.55 with highest quality settings (no special fixes)
Pete's CD-ROM 1.8 standard settings
Eternal SPU 1.1 standard settings

Nope... that's just the nature of the game. Some games (I know GT2 does this) use a simplified model of a car when it's at a certain distance from you. Now, on a PSX played on the TV monitor this is not noticeable (since everything's blurred anyways). But now on a monitor with hi-resolution, it's VERY noticeable. The PSX were programmed with 320x240 on the TV set in mind. And all that filtering/anti-aliasing methods can only go so far in improving the image quality.
