I want to buy a new heatsink for my cpu. Currently I'm running a AMD Athlon XP 2200+ t-bred (1.8 Ghz). These are the tempature: 40-45 Idle. 50-56 Full Load. The vcore is set to 1.7v, because otherwise I cant run at 2 ghz. I'm running a Thermaltake volcano 7 (copper). Here's my question: Does it cool the cpu better if i use a aluminium/copper cooler? Like this one here ....???

No a full copper would work far better then a combo, sometimes the joins between the copper and aluminium is imperfect and hinders the heat transfer, the specific heat capacity of copper is lower than aluminium and thus would work better in dissapating heat, the aluminium on yours is because Zalman needs that HSF to weigh less, If it's made of full copper it could rip your CPU socket tabs off without some mounting holes
