There’s a couple of problems that I have run into, and maybe you guys can help me out, as I can’t find any drivers for this sound card on any of the Creative websites. It’s like the sound card doesn’t exist, and yet it clearly does since i’ve got one, and it’s an official Creative product. I have the origional installation CD, but that is probably the cause of my grief, concerning the sound card.
First issue is concerning the Volume Control Panel, when you activate the Advanced Properties which will allow you to modify bass and treble levels, but they are greyed out. They are also greyed out in the Creative Surround Mixer. The other issue is that while the sound card is supposedly 24-bit, WinDVD doesn’t recognize it as a 24-bit sound card. I have downloaded the latest version of WinDVD, but still nothing...another issue is refering to the Bass Boost feature, which is also greyed out.
This may be an issue (I will experiment) but for some reason, the game Beyond Good and Evil doesn't want to play with sound. I was using XP SP2, but I have reverted back to Win 2000 Pro SP4...seems more stable to me...
But my issues refer to the second paragraph. I have no idea what to do, and I am not going to download modded drivers yet....but, if the only way to fix these issues is to do so, then so be it...which ones do I use? (b.t.w, if it's inappropriate to talk about modded drivers, please remove this paragraph). I am hoping that someone can assist me..
Anyone have any suggestions?
