Controller Issues

I'm having an issue where both the D-pad and the analog sticks move too fast only while using ePSXe (such as scrolling through items. One tap and It drops me 20-30 items down instead of 1 item down), however I don't see an option to adjust sensitivity or anything similar.
Is there a way to fix this?

Hello,

If you're experiencing sensitivity issues with the D-pad and analog sticks while using ePSXe, here are a few troubleshooting suggestions:

  1. Controller settings: Check the controller settings within ePSXe. Look for options related to sensitivity, dead zones, or analog stick calibration. Adjusting these settings might help resolve the issue.
  2. Controller configuration: Make sure your controller is properly configured in ePSXe. Go to the "Config" menu and select "Controllers" or a similar option. Check if the buttons and analog sticks are mapped correctly. You may need to remap the controls or adjust the sensitivity settings within this configuration menu.
  3. Controller driver: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your controller. Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install any available updates. Outdated or incompatible drivers can sometimes cause input issues.
  4. ePSXe settings: Check the general settings within ePSXe for any options related to input or controls. Look for options such as "Analog mode" or "Digital mode" and try toggling between them to see if it affects the sensitivity.
  5. Alternative emulators: If the issue persists, you can try using alternative PlayStation emulators, such as RetroArch or PCSX-Reloaded, to see if the problem is specific to ePSXe. Different emulators might offer additional settings or configurations that can help resolve the sensitivity issue.

By experimenting with these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to address the sensitivity problem with the D-pad and analog sticks while using ePSXe.

Thank you for the reply.

I had already done the first 4 before posting this and eventually I did end up having to move to another emulator altogether.
