every time I exit eSPXe my computer freezes and then i get a blue screen saying that it got stuck in loop. is there a fix for this? i didn't see anything about it in the help. i just exit, hit the x to close the screen or hit alt-f4 and it freezes every time.

its either a driver issue, or your system ram is bad.

so it does this even when you do file>exit? if you are not aware already, those other two methods you mentioned should not be used at all, file>exit is the correct way to shut down epsxe.

Which since you are trying and it does it anyway.

Check your system ram (memtest for a few hours)

if it is related to your RAM you can try removing one of the modules and see if there is any change in behavior, depending on how many there are in your system, you can keep swapping them out until you find the one that is causing problems.
