i recently got a PSX/N64 joint adaptoid-

the label on it says

'Smart Joypad' and it was manufactured by Exceed.

the catch is- this is the non-USB version of it.
this adaptoid plugs into the 'game' port on my sound card.

provided i find and install all the drivers for it, will it still work with ePSXe?

and if anyone knows where i can get the drivers for it, i would gladly apreciate your help. google-ing it isnt helping much, as im getting a bunch of japanese sites that are selling them.

thanks

or try out a gameport to USB adapter which *might* auto-detect the driver needed, but you may have to unplug from the USB if you want to swap controller types
ive got 6 usb ports built into my pc (i.e. im not using a hub)- so finding an open one shouldnt be a problem. as for a real driver, im searching driverguide.com and googleing it (divide and conquer!!)

as for configuring it under windows, none of the options (even 'Custom'), under Game Controllers (on Control Panel), gave me enough buttons to assign to the PSX controller.

so it looks like im gonna have to find a driver for it.
and as a last resort, gameport-to-USB converter.
