i notice this problem long time ago but since i dont use vgs much i can ignore it but since i'm using it again to play some rpg i want to solve this problem unfortunately i cant....... :(

1.)
well the problem in cd speed is vgs makes the cd speed to 12x instead of the real speed of my cd rom drive(50x) everytime i try to lunch a new games it happens so sometimes the game fmv become choppy so i use a utility to fix this but its annoying i dont want it like everytime i like to play i'll adjust the speed

2.)

the sound problem occur when i lunch vgs the volume control is override by vgs making the wave slider to the max while the master volume slider is controlable(i can set it by using vgs preferences) and the cd audio slider set to min(no sound) so i need to set it to normal before continuing playing

here is the utility i use came from asus but it works on any ide cdrom drive might find it interesting coz vgs become smooth on playing games when setting it to 16x or higher speed(24x)

rename it to *.zip if the file doesnt works

I've tried VGS with both my CD-ROMs (40x, 24x) and FMVs work perfectly, and I have no problems with the sound either. VGS always seems to spin the CD at a slow, constant rate but I don't encounter any choppiness.
