I've been following the development of this emulator on and off now for the past few years, and my interest has waxed and waned in it; almost in line with the authors time!

Now, don't get me wrong, I realise that the real world comes into everyone's life, and usually when you least want/need it. My problem is this


Free iPod Free Flatscreen (seriously, my flatscreen was already shipped!)


at the top of the page! Does it not strike you all as a bit cheeky? Jeez, talk about a pyramid scheme. Personally, I think it's taking advantage of the people who follow the site avidly and try to help, and some of whom may have donated to the project.

Am I alone in this?

Well, isn't that what regular ads are for?

I doubt they're paying him to post those links; it's purely so he can get the names together for his flat screen, or an iPod.

It just seems to be an abuse of the support people have given him; "taking it for all it's worth", if you see what I mean?

Any of you ever visit Bluesnews? Blue has regular ads, and could probably get a list of names in no time at all, but it's inappropriate.

It's right up there with "Hey, help me get rich!"

Still you are free to click on them if you wish or not, like I said. it's definately not hurting anyone. It is his site as well. It may look a bit selfish or like a pyramid scheme, but hey look at it like this: Clicking the links is basically like donating, only to Caustik himself and not the project :laugh: Yea, okay it is quite different, but no one's forcing you to click them.

The hell's wrong with that? It's completely optional and if people willingly click his link and complete and offer for him, I don't see a problem with it. Perhaps, if he said "help me get a free ipod/flatscreen or else I'll stop development of CXBX," you'd have a right to *****, but he didn't.

Dont know why Flare didnt close this. its a useless comment. Caustik is free to put whatever he wants on his website. dont click if you dont like those kinds of links.

also blueshogun, i wouldnt suggest someone to PM or email an author for something like this.... only important stuff should be sent
