This should be a simple problem, I hope. The music is way too quiet in SotN, and I have to turn my computer's volume up in order to hear the music at decent levels. Unfortunately, the sound effects are much louder than the music, so as a result, I have obnoxiously loud sounds and difficult to hear music.

Is there any way to increase the volume of XA output so sound effects don't drown it out?

I'm currently using Eternal SPU's latest version, though I'm willing to try another plugin if I can hear the music better that way.

In your case, is Castlevania configurable? (I mean the sound options and such.)

If not, I suggest you try other games and see if you have the same problem.

I don't see any internal volume settings for SotN, just Stereo/Mono, Window Color, Time Attack, Cape Colors, Reverse Cape, and soforth. Nothing for music/sound volume.
