Hey, i've been playing FF9 for awhile now with minor flaws that were easy enough to google. To try something new, i got Silent Hill which effectively wiped the my epsxe settings. I plugged back in my original settings and tried loading the game. The only button i could use was ESC to exit the program. I'm well into my second disc with about 11 hours of playtime, plz don't tell me i have to reinstall >.< thx in advance.

do you have an alternate input device like a gamepad or 2nd keyboard that you could test with? if you run the BIOS do the controls respond in the menus?

no alternate device, no second keyboard, and the controls do not work with the BIOS menu

Change the top-right blank thingy, to Digital.

I have same problem but changing to digital didn't work. Mine keeps using multitap as primary input.

Then stop using Multitap. =_="
