Sooo...
I've recently downloaded Epsxe 1.70
And it won't let me save.
Or, it says it does.. It just won't let me load them...
Uhm... help?
If there's anything you need to know in order to help.. Lemme know.

Oh.. and nothings under "memcards".. is there supposed to be?..

Go to Config => Memory Cards, should have the following by default:

memcards\epsxe000.mcr
memcards\epsxe001.mcr

If not, change it (copy paste). If it's already like that, check your memcards directory
inside ePSXe's and remove (or just move away) whatever file is there.

having those lines will NOT have the files save.

you need to click browse and actually create the full path to the file.

it actually doesn't.

memcards\epsxe000.mcrmcr is in the path by default, but the logger will tell you its not being saved to disk, its only after clicking browse and typing a name, then hitting open that the logger will stop saying the mem cards are not being written.

its a ***** issue, it worked fine on win98, but is prone to screwing up on XP.... usually from a new install it will mess up.

can't be arsed risking it to use relative paths.

open up the memory card options and click browse

type a memory card name and click open.

then click file > run bios.

thats odd. the new file should be created regardless.

That's probably the source of your issue.

You MUST press ESC key to stop the emulation first, and then close the emulator.

Restart the computer, then play and save. Close the emulator in the proper way,
and then try to load the saved game from the memcard.

Hmmm... if you remove the memcards. When using "memcards\epsxe000.mcr",
is the memcard file created? (it should)

Change the memcard setting first, and restart the emulator.
The files should be created uppon starting the emulator itself.

When you use the "Select" button and point it directly to the memcard file and do a save,
can you see it by running the BIOS?

Also, how did the test Epsxecutor go?
