This is the first time I've EVER been presented with a problem that when given enough time, with the help of Google, that I couldn't figure something out. I've spent an entire day combing through every single thread or general help forum concerning ps3 controllers and emulators. I have tried every solution I came across to-the-letter to no avail. The closest I came to finding someone with the same problem as me was this guy who fixed his problem by copying and pasting his psx.ini file - but this solution did not work for me.

Using windows 7 64 bit, all my drivers are up to date.
But I've been trying to get this psxfin to work with my ps3 controller. I installed motionjoy ds3, configured my controller, confirmed it's install. I restarted my comp and ran the psxfin.
I can get all the games to load with no problem, but they will not respond to my controller. But when I go into configuration, I can change the keys WITH MY CONTROLLER. So the game recognizes my controller, even lets me configure with it, but does NOT work with game.
I've tried running the game, exiting the game, and copying/removing psx.ini file, restarting psxfin, exiting, moving old .ini file and replacing the new one; did not work.
The error reads
".\src\win\joystick.cpp.259: 'joydev[devid]->CreateEffect<GUID_ConstantForce, &eff, &rumble[devid], NULL>' returned DIERR_UNSUPPORTED: The function called is not supported at this time.
Noticing it said rumble in there, I made sure to configure in psxfin as to the rumble box being unchecked; I looked all through my ds3 tool to find a rumble setting, best I could find was motor power percentage, which I reduced to 0 on the main page of ds3. I couldn't find any options for rumble in my control panel/usb game controllers in either advanced or general properties. I tried to calibrate it but I couldn't get past the h axis I think; something to do with the analog; which I figure is because I have ds3 set for ps1 setting- no analog.
I can still use my keyboard to play the game, but frankly that kinda sucks the fun out of it for me. So I don't know, I'm out of ideas.
I tried to remove motionjoy completely but I couldn't get rid of all of the registeries; meaning once I uninstalled it, every new driver I would install would automatically label itself motionjoy. I even ran a bunch of cmd commands to delete it, force delete it, nothing. Did not work. So I still have the bastard, but in it's defense, it does seem to work. I just can't get the mother****ing controller to correspond with psxfin.
I tried EpsxE first, but I can't even get the games to load on that one; just goes black screen until I hit escape. I've changed every setting on there in every possible way; don't know how that would ever work.
