For some resone I can't get ePSXe to close properly, namely after hitting "esc" I return to my windows desktop however CD or not the game is still running. Can any one help me with this. And on a slitely off note is there plans to add standard short cut key via keyboard, esample (ctrl+O = open or f1 = help) and other fuctions of that nature.

I wish that was an option. this protickular system I'm running is a media center I build, and I'm triing to avoid makeing a keyboard a standard component. At the moment I'm I control the PC via an ATI remote. And for some reason I can't get the programibuls buttons to work properly, with out closing the whole program and leave the game running in a manor as I previously stated. http://studio318.serveftp.net/mediacenter.htm

well then bind a key on the remote to the escape key then?

the only way to "safely" exit ePSXe is to press escape and close the GUI, however, you can close the DOS looking window in the background to close everything. of course, if in fullscreen, you still have to press escape to get to that...

I had the same issue several years ago. Back then, I used Beyond Media for my HTPC's TV interface along with their emulators plugin. Unfortunately, it had problems closing ePSXe properly so what I ended up doing was downloading pskill and setting up a simple batch file with the command "pskill -t epsxe.exe" to run when I closed the emulator. Unfortunately, it's a pretty sloppy workaround.

Eventually, I moved my HTPC over to Media Center 2005 and GameEx. GameEx doesn't seem to have any problems properly closing ePSXe with it's default options.
