When I play any game in Epsxe , I cannot use the start button , I mapped it as S on the Keyboard . I am using Epsxe version 1.20 . Can somebody please help ?

Hmm...no problems with a keyboard. Did you configure the S key to two different functions (like start and the triangle key)?

Okay try a whole new remapping.

By this I mean,go to pad config section and press Defaults,okay.

Them remap them,Problem will be gone.

One,more thing check the config of Pad 2 and see if S is already in use.
