Unfortunately no, unless you use pokesav. Personally i never got it to work, though.

Desmume can do some of the cheats for platinum. Some work, some dont. I found that money and item cheats work, but not many others.

pokesav can put it into the save

to use pokesav first open up NO$GBA and save somewhere when you atleast got 1 pokemon, then do options --> emulation setup. change NDS Cartridge backup media to flash 512KBytes. save again, download No$GBAtoVBA.exe (google it + download you have to use it lots of times) close no$gba and open up NO$GBAtoVBA.exe do configure, follow steps. click ur save game and click convertfile.
close no$gbatovba.exe and open up pokesav (google it + download it) and say open and get to the save games, open up newsavegame.sav and edit what u wanna edit and click save as and click ur OLD savegame NOT the NEWsavegame.sav.

Wanna edit again just repeat the steps from No$gbatoVBA.exe
