I have a huge Ps2 Library, just wondering if the emu can play off the disc

Yes but you'll loose speed on a lot of games(that read from the disk a lot)

Thanks, I am no where near getting to the emulation, i need to buy a new computer to do so. Any suggestions on what kind of computer and graphics card specs? I need a dual processor btw so i can run DS also

The faster, the better, is the general recommendation for pcsx2.
Make it an E8400, overclocked to 4Ghz and a Geforce 9800GTX, and you should be set

quad core with hyper threading helps a lot for software rendering, which is a lot more accurate than hardware.

you must to know that are games that are not playable neither with a 100 core processor!!!
that games are just not compatible with the emulator.
