Yes, it's real

BTW, porcupine quills would have kept on drilling into the skin and muscle if not removed. High chance it would have pieced into the dog's brain.

woah....CityTv is a toronto station right? if so, does that mean it happend in toronto?? >_<

The vets worked for quite some time to get quills out and even still could not get them all.
I hope that doesnt mean that these are the after pics for the operation...
AAAh. That's too painful for me.
/remembers the old "Tom and Jerry" cartoons and how Tom always ended up with something like these (but not in face :p )

Koyote also had these moments. Anyway, I want to see a pic of her after it got those removed.
Ouch. It seems she was rather lucky - she could have been blinded.

Sometimes I'm rather glad that I live in a country without any _too_ dangerous animals. The only wildlife we have are hedgehogs, foxes, mardens (which like to sleep under engine bonnets eating brake-hoses in the winter or battle local cats) and buzzards.

No, these aren't. According to one of the sites these pics were taken before the operation.

Yeah, fat chance... No, I seriously doubt that, because the brain is in a tight shell of bone with only narrow and winding openings for some nerves and blood vessels - and a big one for the spinal cord... which is well-protected.
A picture is worth a thousand words so this is going into my "animals owned by porcupines" collection

I hope that dog has a quick recovery
