Not released on PC until the 26. I'll try it then as soon as I find a "trial version". I'm not sold on the game yet, and I have Dragon Age preordered, which will take the majority of my time for awhile. Borderlands looks interesting, but it looks like a love it or hate it type of game, and I'm not sure which side of that fence I'm on yet.

Its basically a next-gen version of PSO/diablo/hellgate london in a fallout theme. I too will be getting DAO but that comes out a few weeks after BL on PC

I'm not sold on it either, as the skills are a bit boring looking (i.e. passive). I see this game getting redundant like any FPS. But, if I go in with that mindset, and don't expect a never-ending game like Diablo 2, I should enjoy it for a run through or two.

It could be a blast, I've been playing Titan Quest for over a month now, so I suppose I should enjoy this as well. Tomorrow I'll have a look at my cousin's, since he has it for the 360.

How is the music in this game?

I'm waiting for the superior PC version and since Cid mentioned Titan Quest, does the scenery ever change in that game? I've just gotten past Sparta and everything looks the same as in first town.
Just bite yourself through the mandatory desert though.... I agree that environmentally speaking, some randomness would've been lovely. I think Borderlands does so, which will help a lot.

Snag An Early PC Copy Of Borderlands? Good Luck Playing It - borderlands - Kotaku

Great, crappy copy protection on this game. Seems I'll be holding off my purchase until a crack is available. Good going 2K games, you're officially pissing off customers and even the developers.

I'm not looking for online activation, and certainly not a limitation of installations. If the latter will be the case I simply won't purchase the game, period.

Damn this firms are stupid as stupid can be, why the fu... insert crappy protection systems and hurt there consumers and also affect there sales, since crackers always proved to bypass them and those whom never intended to buy the game will never buy the game. This is the peek of stupidity.

I've been playing it for a few days now on 360. It's not the deepest shooter, but the major redeeming quality of the game is coop. I sit there and i play by myself i can get maybe a half an hour in at a time... I played with a friend and sat there for 3-4 hours not even realizing how long i had been there. It plays like an MMO but controls like CoD4 (actually the control scheme is identical including the melee system). I can't say it's anything to write home about regarding originality, but it is still a blast with a friend or 3.

Sounds like a bargain bin title then... Ah well, that's kind of how I expected it to be.

well so far, it has yet to be cracked, amazingly. From what ive heard, when the game is finally released on monday, the securom will be disabled, so you wont need to crack it anymore.

Securom disabled, is still installed. its the installing and service that cause the problems, not the securom in the app itself.

what i mean is, you wont need to be on the internet to play.

Now that i think about it i dont know what im talking about lol. Its supposed to download a file necessary for the game to run, so maybe its just the one time thing. i unno anymore.

hmm, well Securom's driver is installed on first run, which is why if you crack the game before running it the service is never installed :p
