ok, I set up the ePSXe for my system and now I get a black screen and no sound when I select to load the game, I know it's not the game as my brother has used the same game on ePSXe at home without any trouble but when I try it on my laptop all I get is a black screen.
In the top right hand corner a picture of a constoller in a box that says 1 standard under the controller in the box pops up as soon as I select to run the ISO but it soon goes and all I'm left with is that black box, it's also in windowed if that helps.

System spec... How much do you need?
I'm a laptop with intel core 2 duo processor, 32 bit op system, vista and I can't remember where to check the graphics card... I think it's intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver...or atleast that's the best I can get out of the graphics settings.
The ePSXe is set to use Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 and the main video config is windowed (640x480) and 32bit colour, X res 0 Y res 0 Strectch 0 Render mode 1, texture filter 0 hi res textures 0 Gfx card vram 0 (autodetect) FPS limit (10-200) set 200 fps, offscreen 1 framebuf ef 0 framebuf upload 1.
I haven't changed the soft video config.
Sound: ePSXe SPU core 1.7.0. and I haven't changed the config.
CDrom: ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.7.0. and I haven't changed the config.
Bios SCPH1001

If the graphics card isn't right or you need more info just say

make sure DEP is disabled and that your image is in a format that includes all sub-channel data like .ccd or mdf.

I've don't it but I still have the same problem.
I have used it before in the past without any problems but I had to reset my laptop a few months ago to factory settings for an unrelated issue and now when I've come round again it won't work.
It's a pain

can you attempt to start up the game and then take a screen shot of the logger window?

Ok, but I don't know how much it'll help...

That's what it goes like breafly and then the little box goes and it's just a black screen.
If I haven't uploaded the right thing just say and I'll upload that

Edit: sorry, just worked out what the logger is
Here it is but I don't know how usefull it is, it doesn't report any problems.

I've given up on it and downloaded PSXEven and that works but it plays like a hamster tied to a jet engine.
I've tried reducing the framelimit to as low as 40 but it still keeps going at turbo speed.
I think I can set it to be run on just 1 core (as I have duo core) and I think that's what I did last time but I can't remember how.
Any suggestions?
