I'm trying to run the NTSC version of Final Fantasy IX on ePSXe 1.4.0. I can see the "Square Electronics L.L.C." logo at the start, but then it just stops at a black screen. I've messed with a lot of settings and still can't get it to work.

My system is a 933MHz Pentium 3 with 128MB of RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS card. I'm running the game off disk images. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong?

Looks like a MDEC problem to me,did you use 1.2.0 before?
And in it,did you disable MDECS,if so,that can be your problem.
