Oh, I did.
And I know that it takes the longest that way.

I just wanted some experiences of other users because I didn't imagine it to take THAT long.
I'm just unsure because nothing happens.

edit: Uhm...I have a XenoPS Modchip, anyone else dumped the bios with that chip?

Problem solved...the first USB Switch seems broken

Just did it with the help of Action Replay Max Evo edition, worked perfectly, just had to tweak the settings a bit as I had the old z7.exe rather than the z7a.exe.

Alright I cant seem to do this for the life of me. I had a really cool friend dump my original bios for me which i still have but hes moved away and i saw that it would overall be better if the dumping was done over in 2.0 even though you can convert the old bios. Can someone provide an easy to understand way of doing this? I read the RF and DUMBIOS guides but there outdated or require software I dont have such as a PS1 game.

If you don't have a modchip, the steps I posted above are probably the least painful way of doing it - but they do require you to purchase the swapmagic software.

just a question, does anyone know if it is possible to dump the bios using this tool with a Slimline PS2? (V12, SCPH-70012)

it's already modded with a Matix MX4 modchip

ok here is how i did it: i have old model (the fat one, i think version were something like V7 or so) of ps2 (unmodified) and swap magic 3.5. i put that dumper to my usb stick (fat-formatted 512 mb mp3 player) and renamed it to swapmagic.elf, which i put in swapmagic-folder. then i booted my ps2 normally with swapmagic disc on drive. it started dumpin' right after it had loaded the elf. and all this on one usb stick, so you dont need 2 sticks to dump bios without modchip

PVR802w laser
V13 case with 80mm blowhole and fan
Matrix Infinity MX4 modchip (It worked with the modchip turned on)
Comsoft laser Fix V4

SCPH-39002 machine here, no chip, no cheat devices, no USB sticks, just the as-new console with the full Tekken series (including PSX), and GTA3. Not a single thing about a 39002 on the net either. :/

I have a SCPH 30001R PS2 and the only way I could run the dumper was via HDLoader through the Independence Exploit. The only problem I ran into was that it froze when it tried to dump the DVD diff file so I never got past that part. Could this be a conflict with HDLoader?
