I don't want to open mine... -_-You just have to add a No Solder ModChip to modify your console.
you will not be able to dump your bios if you cannot boot unsigned code. you cannot boot unsigned code if you do not modify your ps2, (excluding the independence/mem card exploit). if you can't do it online, and YOU don't want to wreck your ps2, get someone else to do it.Mykas0 said:I don't want to open mine... -_-
Plus, I wanted to get it here (Portugal!), since once I saw a huge store that sells it, but appears they don't have it anymore... Plus, I can't order online stuff >_<
The modified flip top cover case can be used to achieve the swap without hitting eject. The other way is a slide tool for the drive tray.auMatt said:a Disc that allows you to swap with to use your own created discs, ie: Naplink/Ps2liink. you will also need a way to eject the original disc without using the eject button.

There is a method of taping some buttons on the inside of the new slim model to keep the system from recognizing the lid being open, so with the new model you don't have to use a modded case or slide tool. Or you can fill the holes with tissue to hold the buttons down too, so you don't have to void your warranty to use the SM discs. I'm using a version 4 PS2 SCPH 30001 with a transparent blue case with flip top and I don't have a mod chip and my backups play just fine.Mugslugs said:What about the slimline is the flip lid recognised?
yeah I though so, didn't you recognize what that 'generalplot said:I wasn't trying to take the thread into any risky areas. I was just trying to clarify some of the questions is all.
