I am curious as to what the best emulator would be with the Saturn, as I'm thinking of finding at least a way to get some sprites from a specific game (assuming I can even find said game and get it working) or find someone who can at least rip the sprites from said game.

Xenomic - the best is SSF but yabause is also a good option with a nice compatibility list http://yabause.org/ i dont know if SSF has a similar list.

Btw, going a bit off-topic here, if anyone wants to contribute to saturn scene but dont know anything about coding, you can translate yabause to another language, just follow the instructions in the site http://wiki.yabause.org/index.php5?title=Yabause_translation

english, french, brazilian portuguese and spanish are already done.

Well, I've been searching for a decent Saturn emu a couple of days ago to play Sega Saturn version of UMK3 and I figured there is none.
However, SSF is kinda good. Yabause is not that bad either but both were slow and glitchy. Overall, Saturn emulation is a total mess.

I think you can find SSF compatibility list here: http://www.segasaturn.org/

why do you say SSF is only "kinda good"? From what I understand it's damn near perfect.

Near perfect? Half the time it just doesn't even run on my system (XP). I tried to play Golden Axe the Duel the other day and after Start screen it just froze and then program just quit, while I can play the game on Yabause (without sound of course and very slow).
UMK3 gave me an error about drive or something, again it's playable on Yabause without any sound and it's also slow. so none of the games I tested on SSF so far were playable and besides, a near perfect emulator should have so many features, should be easy to use and at least comes with an icon =P
btw, the only reason I said SSF is kinda good is that I hear people saying it's great all the time
