I've been counting...6 posts and we're off topic ...here's a theorem for the board. Hold your applause until the end:

The Off-Topic Theorem (as proposed by Gk)

Gk1986(online) + Xeven(online) = Off-topic(any thread)

well, it could be a postulate if you cant prove it wrong, or a hypothesis if there just isnt enough evidence yet
OK: Xeven and Gk are online togheter, right now. That may clear some doubts people were having ;)

I know, but theorem just sounds so much better ;) Plus, who cares about math?.... ... ... :heh:

BTW BGnome
I got nominated by my school to attend that summer camp thingy with the other schools in Georgia. One person from each high school. That means I won't be here for six weeks in the summer...I shudder to think about my average post count afterword...

Ok letsee now:-

Base case:
Trivally :
gk(0) + xeven(0) = ot (0)

ie if neither is present then there is no chance that the thread will be made OT by their influence.

n+1 case:
gk(n+1) + xeven(n+1) = Ot(n+1)

but as gk always replies to xeven:
gk(n+1) = xeven (n) +1

similarly for xeven :

xeven(n+1) = gk(n) +1

now we have

gk(n) + xeven (n) + 2 = OT (n+1)

but

OT (n+1) = OT(n) - 2

As an OT post will always genrate a response from both the inital poster and the recipent.

Hence proven by induction

but the bases are different, and in order to use logarithem, you must either change all the base to 10 or in this case, gk, xeven, or ot, or use another approach (eg 2logGk+2logXeven=1logOT). I need to review my Precal notes...
