The last Command & Conquer game I played was Tiberian Sun which was ages ago.

I want to get back into the series.

I find that there are several Command & Conquer games.

-Command & Conquer Red Alert
-Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
-Command & Conquer: Generals
-Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour
-Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge
-Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm
-Command & Conquer Red Alert: Counterstrike
-Command & Conquer: Sole Survivor
-Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations

Which is the best Command & Conquer series right now?

Command & Conquer: Red Alert. can't ever get the soundtrack out of my head, esp that track with the marching!

C&C Generals sucks IMO. It's lost its magic, did so with Tiberian Sun, the original and RA are the best...and of those two C&C RA > C&C. So if you havent played C&C RA buy it and love it! Otherwise save your money. (that goes for RA & RA2, though RA is better than RA2 IMO).

C&C Generals is awesome, really good game but i like red alert. TESELA TOWERS!

To my mind:
The original C&C was the best. there was magic in it. Then Red Alert 2, a fun game with good graphics, then Red Alert, then somewhere at the bottom, under a pile of clothes strewn on your bedroom floor is Tiberian Sun.
Generals/Zero Hour are good games, but they are not good C&C games. They had none of the magic which made C&C C&C. No attachment to characters in the game (like Tanya in RA/2), no plot really, just a series of battles.

I liked Yuri's Revenge. I played it for months on end, experimenting with different units. One of the best RTS games IMO, although Yuri's side was a bit too overpowered.

Generals/Zero Hour had the best online experience without a doubt. The online games were awsome, lots of fast paced strategy. You really need to know how to play to succeed, not just buy buy buy rush. Plus the awsome graphics make's it the best choice for me. Red Alert 2 and Tiberiun Sun are next.

The 3D graphics look too small and generic. The soldiers move too slowly. The vehicle units look uncreative.

I'm hoping Red Alert 2 is better than this.

Red Alert 1 and 2 are my favorite. Generals is my least favorite. They're all good though.

Dont forget the game has almost 2 years it had the best graphics for an RTS for its time, and the graphics are still not that bad. The gfx are very good. Anyway like i said the best of it is the multiplayer.

Red Alert is the best of the series IMO.

I've played both C&C Generals and the Zero Hour expansion, but I don't like it at all. In fact, I was very disappointed with Generals.

C&C then Red alert and Red Alert 2 hands down best games in the series. I also checked the demo and wasnt too thrilled by it.

if you're willing to go way back to the old gfx style RTS games, get either the original C&C or C&C Red Alert. Or, you're looking for a much better looking C&Cs, go get Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge (since you've already played Tiberian Sun).

Generals? they're not that bad.......but it's not that good either. and don't go near C&C Renegade (it still counts as a C&C game, but not RTS). it sucks so bad, you'd go nuts!

The first was the best in my opinion. The German voice samples kicked ass - I especially liked the villagers who sounded soooo gay!

my favourite would be a tie between C&C and Red Alert. in general, its safe to say that as the series grew older, the crappier it became. on a side note, thank you EA for killing another good company.

The original C&C for me was the best one. Tiberian Sun comes close. Still, I'm more of a Dune fan actually! I've played Dune 2 when it was first released, and I still play it today!
