Hi all,

Does anyone know how to get battle transitions to work using Pete's OGL/D3D plugin?

I'm using a Geforce2 GTS / 1.2 Tbird / 256 DDR/ XP Pro system.

Thanks!

Um, what's a transition? English's not my native language, so I don't know what this means (and I am too lazy to go and look into my dictionary):emb:. HELP. Please

Yep... Swirly effects.. Unfortunately, I have heard people are having problems getting the swirly effects correct with petes hardware plugins.. His software pluggin seems to display them correctly though..

FYI.. If you have a voodoo card, lewpys glide pluggin displays the swirls perfectly..
For me the swirly effects works pretty good, the problem I'm having is displaying the statistics in battles. There no "Attack, magic, item, etc" box in the bottom of the window when I know there should be and it's not displaying the HPs and stuff for the characters... anyone else had this problem?

My bios is scph1001
video- pete's DX6 D3D driver 1.53
sound- epsxe SPU core 1.4.0
cdrom- epsxe CDR ASPI core 1.4.0.
That problem has been answered numerous times before.. Use the search function as I can't remember what the solution was for petes pluggins..
Com80787 : To get the battle transition, set your Framebuffer Textures to"Gfx card buffer" and Offscreen Drawing to "3 - Enhanced".

Axloschak : Just set Offscreen Drawing to "3 - Enhanced" and you'll see the battle menu.
Well I changed the settings of my video card, or changed video cards altogether, and the battles work fine. The only problem is now the swirly part is messed up >.< I'll read through this topic and figure it out.... thanks again for your help and suggestions.
OK, this in no way guarantees a fix, but I find that with these settings I could get the effect mostly working:
- Use the OGL plugin
- Plugin settings: Set Framebuffer Textures is set to 2 (Gfx Card Buffer).
- Display settings: Set buffer flipping mode to block transfer. Do not use auto select or page flipping.
