We've all been there. Staring at that huge wall of video games. We start by looking at the box art, picking out the ones that look interesting. We inspect, turn it over and do the same at the back. It looks good, looks interesting and the rewards it received from various web sites should make it a stellar game play. You've read their reviews too, the authors making it sound like a must play.

And then it turns out it's not. You're a bit disappointed and miserable, taking all that time to go out and bring back a game that wasn't what you thought it would be. The authors of those reviews made it sound so good you thought...

Personally, I'd take the opinion of a friend or fellow gamer you know and/or chat with nearly everyday. The best part of our fellow reviewers? They can answer questions about the game of the hour! You're unsure of the game play. You ask them to compare it to something, bam, they do that. You ask how it relates to another game and bam, there's their reply.

Show them that their opinions and judgments are valued just as much as the paid authors review sites. Show them your appreciation for them taking their time to write up reviews for our common passion by voting.

Snick and Emwearz' reviews are simply a cut above the rest. I even bought Sega Rally based off of Snick's review.

I believe that reviewing games allows people to dive into their creative side and creative writing is something I will always encourage others to have a go at. The simple fact that emuforums has a review section that has so many people having a go is just fantastic and goes a long ways in making this forum the great place that it is. My tips go to emwearz, BigIg and Galson. Top stuff lads.

Emwearz woop! even though hes left lol
Im still around! I just stepped down as a mod (Meaning my activity has decreased) I am however still very much active with reviews im actually about 75% through making my first Video Review, Golden Axe on the Sega Megadrive (Gensis) so expect to see that up whenever I get another day off work to polish it off.

Snicko has without a doubt improved 10 fold over his earlier reviews, his doing great work and posting them often.
