AV-Comparatives - Independent Tests of Anti-Virus Software - Main-Tests

Latest report is out, looks like the methodology has changed some. Not so easy to get the highest ranking anymore, though that's not the part I pay the most attention to anyway. Nod32 had been slipping for a while, but it looks like they've regained some of their footing in this latest report. Kaspersky is looking particularly good in this report, and Avira has pretty much stayed where it has always been. The results for avast! and McAfee are a bit surprising, though.oO

The one thing I don't like about this test is the lack of consistency in heuristics settings, everything should be set to the same level. Kaspersky was set to low, while Nod32 was set to high.oO Still, the overall results are pretty interesting this time around.

Thoughts?

It'll take some time for McAfee and Norton to loose their old reputation as pieces of bloatware before people actually start getting it.
