I read on a FF9 help site that a fun way to gain alot of exp with Steiner during a certain part of the game was to equip him with a sword that drains life from his opponents so that during this time when new enemies came after he defeated the previous ones all the time he would be able to leave the game and come back later to see how much steiner had leveled.

But this was all because he had a "turbo controller" or something and apparently it pressed the x button constantly so he never had to do anything and now I wonder if there is something in ePSXe that can simulate this so I can do the same thing.

i'd try psxeven or another emu which has support for pad (controller) plugins , and see if any of them have the wanted features.

Quite impossible.
I am pretty sure the other plugins/emulators yet to have this function.
Use a gamepad that allows turbo functions.

Another way (I guess) is to increase the repeat rate and decrease the repeat delay of the keyboard keys in the Control Panel under Keyboard.

im pretty sure that that option is only for programs that use it, like MSword.

The sad part is, for all its faults, PsXbox has a delay/turbo repeat feature. But where a lot of us would like to use it (FF9,FF8,FF7) PsXbox has game-ending issues with rendering the right layers.
