It all comes down to this, lets not care about who is faster.. forcus on their performance, all the aspects of these cards, even the brand, take serious consideration. As ATI currently is the fastest in the market, win GeForce 6800 after a long battle.

Both cards seems to be racing at the same speed, a little faster for the X800 of course, BUT, both card shares different qualities, the benefits and the features.

I ain't gonna do a long comparison, or a review, I'm just gonna put out my vote, prior to building a new PC, as of now I'm leaning toward the GeForce 6800. Almost all games hasn't support the Pixel Shader 3.0, obviously, it's useless so it doesn't worth having this, til future purpose. I wanted the GeForce for the SLI feature, yes something that will save me alot of money in the near future, unlike ATI cards..

.... well I'm only talking about the current card in the market, not ATI vs. nVidia in general.

anywho, they both came in the same price, but why so much rumors claim the x800 was much expensive than GF6800.. man retail is just being asses for pushing the price higher.

x800 for meh because 1. i have one (that could make my view bias but oh well ) 2. I dont like Nvidia's bid to conquer all with $$ like MS tries to do.

X800pro cuz i got sick of using nvidia cards in the past. and i was able to play Doom3 at 1600x1200 and AF16x with AI on low with 45fps avg with no problems what so ever.

I voted for the 6800 ultra
This card is a powerful card indeed, though the x800 xt is more powerful in some way.
It's just that I route for Nvidia all the way, and ATI is ok. That's for AGP
But for PCI, that is a different matter. The 6800 ultra kicks x800 xt butt all the way in every aspect, except for some.

depends on a few things what resolution do you want to game at do you use or plan on using AA and AF if your 1280x1024 or higher with AA and AF crancked up i say ATI otherwise its personal prefrence of comapany which for me is again ATI (why i voted ATO) also avalibility if u cand find both for the same price then YAY you many ppl have problems find either sucks for them

the whole it costs more blah blah blah is more online retailers being dicks if ure going retail then ure fine
