Any way to use Action replay/Gameshark codes in PCSX 2?

it is just go to patch browser in the menu and it gives you an option to add gameshark 2 v3-4 codes... i couldnt get any other codes work, like armax but for these ones to work i had to change them from word format to extended and they work perfect
