I have been using FPSE for fm3 recently. It doesnt work too well on my system. It usually crashes out of the game all the time. Anyone know how to get it running good on epsxe?

To Get FM3 running well on ePSXe...

That is a very hard, hard task, I mean it...

well, I am playing it too, and I don't know why, although the Framerate counter(I am using Pete's Direct3D plugin), it's always show 60fps, but the screen doesn't say so, it's always very slow between the frame update, so all i do is turn of the frame limit, so it would run as fast as possible (mine max out at 200 fps or more ), the play become nice, but too fast, but that is much better than the slow one (oh yeah, my PC: P3600EB with V3 3k, sblive value and 128MB RAM).

anyway, you can also convert the CD into an ISO, that would help a lot too .

Front Mission 3 is known to have problems I believe, and you will basically have to wait til they fix them hopefully in the next version of epsxe.

My suggestion:

1) Make sure you check "Accurate CD-ROM Timing" or the game won't start.

2) Use Pete's Plugins, and enable "Special Game Fixes", and in the submenu enable "Use PC FPS Calculation". This'll fix the problem goldentuxedo mentioned.

After this, the game will run mostly fine, but the speed in the MDECs will be incorrect (a side effect of the fix above), and it will still crash occasionally.

well. i am still still wondering about that PC calculation thingy, because when I got it turned on, the frame counter now shows only 30 to 40 fps....

what the hek is happening???

I've tried to get FM3 running in a way that could be described as playable for several months - with no success.

FPSE runs this game 90% perfectly - in this one instance I'd suggest giving ePSXe some vacation time and use FPSE instead.

Well, it's not like I don't use FPSE or AdriPSX, but both of it crashed everytime I try to config their plugins, so I am not gonna bothering using them(just wait until they release their new version), but that's alright, anyway, I am also using VGS and wow, FM3 running almost too well( I MUST say that, but it also have bugs, like whenever loading the save from memory card, you can only load the first entry(you can save to the other entry, but whenever trying to load them, you won't see them ) so, that's alright

i finish fm3 with epsxe 1.2.0 and runs almost perfectly

no major problem

I recommended use save state to save the game

This is normal when using this fix. You should get 30 FPS for NTSC and 25 for PAL. Still, the in-game speed seems correct for me with this fix.

Well, I don't know, but it seems that the slow frames still occuring after the options turned on...

so, any other ways to make it run better?

(anyway, I also try FM3 with VGS, it runs perfect, but there are some save problem, like you can save your game in the memory card file, but you can't load them(you can only load from the first slot and if you do try to save to the second one, you won't be able to load it. But when you convert the Memory Card file to the ePSXe's format and you can see your saves that you can't load)

hmm I cant even seem to get the Movies to work..and I cant even play the game...I have been at it for hours ,without any succes...gues we just have to sit and wait for the next ePSXe release...ack again
