Does anyone believe that it anti-communism is also another form of racism??
Very often these topics end up with verbal attacks against citizens of a country. I don't mind bashing the ideology of communism itself but I was wondering if the names of the countries and the ethnic groups be left out as to avoid discrimination.

The Russians always seems to get the hardest end of the political bashing where it seems like most of the time the citizens are blamed when it is just the responsibility of a few greedy people at the top.

Next comes the middle eastern countries like Kazakastan (sp?) and Georgia and just about all of asia gets generalized about its political beliefs. Few people know that the biggest democracy is India. That is when you know that the anti-communist is really a racist revealing his true colors because they would react with something like "oh my god a non caucasian country is democrat??" and is using the anti-communist thing to justify and cover-up his/her true aims.

Alot of the times it appears that it is the country or its people that gets bashed harder than the political ideology itself.

Well the Russians get the bad rap most of the time because they were mainly, and one of the first to start a full blow clash of ideologies with the west, which later led to the cold war. Indeed, it is thrown around in North American culture in slang most of the time, but its not necesarily full blown racisim. What I see now with middle eastern countries is racism (terrorists, scum, etc), but not because they are communist or any type of dictatorship etc. Frankly if a person goes around spewing garbage about communists/socialists/facists/terrorisim etc about other countries, they are idiotic and do not know what they are talking about. However, it is possible to be anti-xxx without being racist.

First, I don't think that most anti-communists (except the extremist US right-wing types) are really "racist" in any sense of the word.

And on the threads here I've never noticed any particular instance where people bash any country because it's not capitalist. I've seen a lot of american/arab/jewish bashing here, but no communist-bashing (and no russian bashing at all).

Communism will never work and in reality there has never being a truth communist country since there has never being a country where all the people were equal. They are always people who have more power than others, people who had more wealth, etc. I think they will never be a communist country because humans by nature are greedy and ambitious. There are only a few "communist" countries left now cuba, vietnam and china anyways the only ones I can think of. I kind of scare of China. Is has huge population, a large army, nuclear weapons, and is a one party country.

A capitalist economy with a democratically elected oficials in a republic is the best government. I dont think there is nothing better governmental system for humans.

Remember, alot of people during the time of kingdoms thought that that was the way to go. I really think that eventually, not some time soon, democracy will fall for a different form of government that is even more free where the gap between rich and poor is nearly nonexistent.

These days I'm more inclined towards a social democratic government. Completely free Markets are a recipe for HUGE inequalities, IMHO.

Especially with the coming revolutions in robotics, genetics and molecular nanotechnology. What will we do with people once they lose their jobs to robots? (This is already happening - we call it structural unemployment).

EDIT: I agree with darian to a certain extent. I see democracy as some sort of social technology. There's no reason to think that it's the best technology ever - just the best we found until now. Who knows what the future holds?

And no offense but, how come whenever I read the news, a journal article or an english essay that the racist mostly end up being caucasian?? Perhaps there is a reason why racism is more frequent amongst caucasians? Am I wrong?

Well you could blame the internet, the media and the education system if you believe they are biased.

The internet for example has given caucasians a very bad name. Just search google for example and type in either "white man" or "german" and the first thing you see is a whole bunch of neo-**** sites for pages.

And at school, the english assignments often involve autobiographies of people like martin luther king and how he endured caucasian racism and became sucessfull.

Besides those who complain are usually neo-****'s, which only makes the situation worse.

Caucasians are a majority in the west, so it's no wonder that they're more likely to discriminate against others. But when you look at it globally all ethnic groups tend to discriminate against each other. We're all humans, after all.
