i got a problem when i've finished playing the championship card game in ff9 and the sequence starts when kuja is calling bahamut and the the screen goes black and error reporting in win xp just pops up in my desktop my configuration in epsxe is

epsxe 1.6.0
pete's ogl2 driver
eternal spu plugin
geforce fx 5200 128 mb
ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2.
win xp sp2

and i'm not using a cd i'm using a cd image ive copied using alcohol 120%

No, just kidding. But ur using 1.6.0. Thats bad for FF9. It has known problems. Especially likes to crash in cutscenes. Switch to 1.5.2.

Try and remake the image for CD3. And be sure to clean the disc. The image might have a bad spot. Had the same thing in Lindblum once. If that doesnt help i dunno anymore.

EDIT: And regardles of what you do, dont use 1.6.0. As far as FF9 is concerned you gain absolutely nothing from the later version. (except even more problems)

the disk is clean it's doesn't even have a single scratch on it when i did copy the image file of cd3 the problem is still the same even if use epsxe 1.5.2

Check whether the CD is NTSC U/C, NTSC J or PAL region.

Hmm - maybe I should finish the game on my PS2 first instead of on PC. I played up to disk 3, and want the prettiness that emulation offers. Found a save that starts at disc 3 (items aren't exactly the same but pretty dang close, less skills on the save I downloaded too ).

How far into disc 3 would you say this is? If its not too far from the beggining of Disc 3 I'll try to get there and see if the same thing happens to moi.

I'd ask for a save state but that may be the issue (something within your own game). Maybe sharing a save file from the last possible moment before that happens would help to see if people experience the same issue?

save states are too big and unreliable, just upload your memory card and ill pass it and give it back. have you played the game before? if so then you might be mising a little...

Same problem here... been stuck on that cutscene with Kuja for at least a year now... I've tried to use different emulators (including older versions), different video-, audio-, even cd plugins but it still doesn't work... :hdbash:
