Well, i just cant get rid of this network icon from system tray.
Ive tried several times, but it doesnt want to go away.
The only solution is to disable the device, but sometimes i use it.
I have 2 NIC´s and this one is not being used, no cable plugged.

if you're not using the card, disable it. That's what i do. The other thing you can do is go into the start menu properties, and the lowest option allows you to customize what taskbar icons are shown. Change the network one to "always hide" and it'll always be hidden.

I put to always hide, but after something like 3 reboots, the damn thing appears again...
