Annoying mouse and Keyboard lag..

I'm getting real annoying mouse lag and keyboard lag in Windows 7, my mouse cursor continually seems to get "stuck" or lag when moving it. Also my keyboard input seems to have the same problem where I'll be typing and the input lags or appears to be unresponsive when typing for a second or two.

Both problems are more persistent and an annoyance especially when I have Firefox running, I'm beginning to wonder if Firefox is causing the problem itself.

Is this a bare Windows installation?

Are all of the drivers for everything installed?

Using any software for the mouse and/or keyboard?

If USB, IRQ pooling issues?

Keylogger?

It has to be one crazily heavy keylogger to cause noticeable lag on keyboard actions, they almost always run seamlessly in the background.

It's not a keylogger, I've ran scans which have all come up clean. If it is a keylogger, it's managing to hide itself from detection pretty well..

That was more of a random guess. The other four things are probably far more likely (though it could also be something else).

lol I don't get why Xtreme always seems to experience the weirdest type of problems with computers.

It seems to be more persistent the longer I have my computer on and/or Firefox running.
