Anipike update

Just went to Anipike while I was looking for something completely unrelated and noticed an interesting update:

" You have reached the webservers of the American Cancer Society, although it appears that you are trying to reach the website of the Anime Web Turnpike, at www.anipike.com. That website is temporarily incorrectly mapped to our address.

"Please rest assured that the American Cancer Society is working with the Anime Web Turnpike to resolve this problem as quickly as possible.

"The Anime Web Turnpike is available via a mirror site at http://www.anime.jyu.fi/~anipike/."

At least the American Cancer Society finally acknowledged it is indeed not Anipike. ;)

hm...reminds me a bit of http://www.traxinspace.com/
..a few weeks ago it was suddenly gone and replaced by some generic site, but a week ago it returned as if nothing happened.
Anime IS like Cancer. Once it gets hold of you, it'll eat you and your social life away. :p

But at least cancer won't upset your girlfriend when you start putting posters up about it.

I believe cancer however is more serious and eats your vital organs as your still living. ;)

Heh, she'll probably start freaking out and have weird imaginary scenarios of me withering away. :p

That isn't necessarily a bad misconception. ^_^

Like being an avid otaku isn't dangerous to your health?
G
Dunno.
But not getting out enough can be bad for your health....as does eating hamburgers all day...things like that.

Not that my food habits are really good
Yeah, I get out once a week for DDR. But then again, I only play DDR with my friends, unless i'm trying to up to the next level of difficulty.

2 or more player games are always cool. Too bad there aren't much player 2's around here ;)

yeah, you've also been drinking too much beer lately, Mr. Vice President. Not good for our club's image. :p :D
I don't know anyone who likes to play games...well, unless you count FPS gamers...:p
G
Heh, back in High school (well, it's called different in dutch but its similar) I, somebody else and a few others used to play a lot of racing games at each other (on the pc). You know, 1997-1999, golden age of racing games on the pc ;). Man, did we play a LOT!

Anyways, you know how that goes...you leave school, contacts getting less, etc.

Fortunately, 2 people at my work are gamers as well, allthough especially counter-strike like games (well, theyre fun too; I just like racers better).
