I didn't actually get that. If you have something to say then just say it.How useless can someone be?
You have it all wrong. You didn't know what I was talking about. As a result you didn't know what you were talking about either. Not much to get, I was saying you weren't being helpful to him but rather going in a circle.
I doubt he actually has the original copy, he probably just said that to not look like a big bad pirate, so telling him to try that was a bit pointless.
He was using a bad rip, i told him to make a good rip (by "re-dumping" the game). This fixes the problem. Do you get it now?Helpful how? did you say anything to solve his problem regarding the character problem? he said he downloaded it (along with borrowing it from a friend, apparently), so what was your advice to solve the problem? repeat what he already did? even if he did by chance have a legal copy, why not give advice to fixing the "loading" problem?
Yes. The emulator tries to load a file that both of his copies miss (bad dumps/rips). Re-ripping the game fixes that.Ahh, so if he has the same problem with a copy from the internet and his friends game then the solution is re-dumping the game?
Ehh what?hmmm....
"As a side-note, I never saw the original poster complaining after my reply. You are the one who popped up out of nowhere, started trolling the thread and accused people just because you wanted to share your irrelevant opinion. If you're not happy with the warez policy of the board you can contact the administrators or just get out. "
is that a new STD?
You really are clueless about the matter aren't you? The game he "got" is incomplete. It misses necessary data. It will not work on any emulator, ever. It will not work on a real Dreamcast either. It will always have the same problem. No settings or updates can change that. That's what a "bad rip" is all about.Ok so basically your advice is to get another copy or... get another copy.
Which brings me back to my point, it was useless advice to those of use with the problem.
What's the point of even updating NullDC or changing the settings when you can just tell people to get another copy?
What do you mean? It was just a minor edit. Quit harassing me! :x3:i seen that >.<
well played ol'chap, well played indeed.
Because it would involve piracy related talk and that's not tolerated here. It would also give out that he is a pirate (and that's something I don't want to know), not to mention that I personally avoid helping out in that case most of the time (unless I'm in good mood). It was also not necessary to go through all this just to end up telling him 3 words, to redump the game.Ok, so basically you're saying it's likely not the full version?
Why not just say that straight away?
