I'm using the latest epsxe and plugins. I'ven been playin FFVII as a bin/cue for a while and its been playing fine, then recently I disabled the sound, because i wanted to use winamp while playing, now when I reenable it I get no sound at all from the game. This happens with every single sound plugin there is. And if I hit Test on the sound page, nothing comes up at all.

I deleted epsxe and all the reg values and 'reinstalled' and it didnt work. I also uninstalled and reinstalled my sound card drivers. Anyone have any other ideas?

Open up your full volume control (Mixer) and make sure the WAVE volume is turned up, as well as the Master/Play Control volume. Go to the control panel-> Sound and Audio Devices and make sure your default "Sound Playback" audio device exists and works correctly.

If it still doesn't work...
Do you still get sound in Media Players? What Media players are working (Test as many as you have available)? What Audio Card are you using? What OS are you running?

let me take a shot in the dark and guess that you're using save states? if you disable sound, then save state, then reenable sound and load the state, you still wont have sound.

the solution is to enable sound then load off a memory card.
