i gotta a friend whose having problems when closing word documents he gets this message that this file named actskin4.ocx is missing blah blah blah

he doesnt know how to fix this problem neither do I
anyone knows how to fix this?:smash:

did sum searchin for ya and it seems from my searches it is a spyware file. try running spybot or adaware to track it down . You can also try finding the file on ya pc and deleting it.

yeah, i did a track on that on google
a few sites said it was spyware
but what does it have to do with m$ word?

Quite often, spyware is poorly programmed and does things it wasn't supposed to be. For example, if you hardcore a memory adress for word into the spyware which works for the US and not for the german version, you won't be able to manipulate word, but instead you'll get it to crash.

Try to remove it with the spyware tools mentioned above and you should be fine.
