My names Viper,I am a member of a respected and well known Halo PC clan.
I have been following the cxbx program since i first heard about the developement of "halo 2".Knowing microsoft would hold it back from the PC to boost xbox sales i decided to look somewhere else.
Long story short, i found you(cxbx emulator program), and began following your progress every now and then since you guys are just code geniuses.

This could be by far the most comon question in your forums and i bet you saw it comming a mile off(me being in a halo clan),but none the less here goes....

Will you guys be supporting halo 2 in the same way you did with Turok?
Or supporting it in any way full stop?
Considering if you got it working that it would make you extremely famous among the PC gaming community,and im talking front page articles in every PC gaming magazine.Obviously because every halo or FPS player is going to want it. :smash:

Even if you cant good luck with the project anyway,It kicks ass totally :thumb:

welkom viper.. he big problem of the cxbx project is that we don`t have a programmer wich can spet most of the time on developing....

but seriously you guys are on to something and if you focus on halo 2 which is the most popular xbox game around,broadcast it,you can bet your ass halo players and clans on the PC will donate for the head start on it.

But dont forget about me i was here first

Hey people,
much time went by since my last post in this forum.

But I'm glad to see the forum being still alive. Unfortunately I have to tell you that I don't have much free time and so can't work on cxbx in that extent I would like to. That means we need experienced programmers and people who are ready to manage the development.

Also all of you know: time is money.

Porting cxbx to Delphi is not a good idea I must tell you. The main reasons for the decision of using C/C++ for cxbx are the compatibility, the speed and the great number of open source compilers/optimization compilers. Only with C/C++ you have control over some system stuff, like FS swapping. Cxbx uses much stuff which has to be compatible with the win2k kernel and the xdk. So in fact things like stack and direct register patching or special calling conversions (e.g. __fastcall) will not allow the use of Delphi or other non-win2k-internal-compatible languages.

Or better to say: To port cxbx to Delphi would require much more effort than learning C/C++.

CONCLUSION: We need people with time and ideas who will bring new fresh wind to the project and perhaps some progress

Good to hear from you again KingOfC, pity you are Caustik have so little free time, I really had hoped o play Halo2-XBOX on the PC long before I ever played the port.

question.. why is managing the sourceforge pages.
bleushogun is makig some fixes of the reported stuff on sourceforge were can we send changes of the cxbx code 2 ?
